Prayer that Waits

Ps 107:8-9

 

There are many misconceptions of the true elements and functions of prayer. There are many who earnestly desire to obtain an answer to their prayers, but go unrewarded and unblessed.

 

They fix their minds on some great promise of God. This fixing of the mind on something great may help in strengthening their faith. But persistent and urgent prayer- prayer that waits until faith increases-must be added to this promise.

 

Who is able and competent  to do such praying except the person who readily, cheerfully and continually obeys God.

 

Thank you Lord that you satisfy and fill us with good things. I fix my eyes on you as I pray with a more obedient heart. Amen
